It’s got to be the BEST VALUE BRUNCH EVER! 10 euros?

A little birdy called Marta alerted me to chef Armando Saldanah‘s gastrobar’s Sunday Brunch.

At 10 euros a head, Mr. P and I were not expecting great things.

HOW WRONG! Of course you need to book and wear exceedingly dark glasses because everyone who is anyone in SANTA CRUZ is there and you just don’t want to get caught out with Sunday morning eyes – especially being seated at a table in the front row on the gorgeous patio of the MNH.

It’s a served set menu to a background of decent chill out music and a choice of fresh juices or Cava (San Sadurni de Noya). After a basket of fresh bread and homemade jams, the fun begins and we’re treated to a plant pot stuffed with chicken rillettes, followed by an elegant NYC bagel and a chocolate salami with its own accompanying milkshake! It sort of weirdly reminded me of a gardener’s packed lunch…sophisticated of course!

To say I was stuffed was an understatement and all my good intentions of visiting the Museo Nacional de La Historia were dispersed after my 3rd CAVA…
