Alexa spotted me immediately when I walked in with cries of, ‘LOVELY, LOVELY, it’s a 60′s piece you’re wearing. I have some TOOO!’ As she ushered me to rails upon rails of vintage finds, our relationship was cemented!
Alexa not only sells, she rents too, and has a rather large collection of secondhand dirndl (traditional Bavarian costume), which was getting a lot of local attention, as too were my gorgeous sparkly trousers – half of an outfit recently purchased at Fox and Squirrel’s temporary shop Sex and Death in London and carefully stored in my overladen pannier.
To say that I tried almost everything in the shop would be a serious exaggeration, but I tried everything in my size that was shiny and sparkly and very, very nearly ended up with a totally perfect 60′s brocade top.
