‘The Carrot Concept’ is emblazoned on their ORANGE front door and it already gets me quite excited.
Started last year by a group of six including architects, graphic designers and one naturopath (designing your health?), they have a mission, which is to promote El Salvadorian design nationally and internationally (they’re showcasing at New York’s Wanted Design Fair presently).

Its a fab open space on a first floor that houses the different practices of the co-founders in a setting fringed by a rooftop garden where the Soya Nutribar is housed. What I love most is that their shop not only showcases their own work, but that of guest designers.

In such a creative setting, even Mr P let’s his feminine side ABOUND! Whilst I am looking at Vonne’s pressed perfumes and lip balms; he is draping Pipa design scarves around his neck seemingly very pleased with his discovery. Now, as you know anything that keeps Mr P entertained whilst I am busily indulging in fashion is not to be huffed at.

But this beats the ticket! Rushing up to me with a scarf he proceeds to make a sling. Actually it is rather fetching and a darn sight more exciting than the dreadful cotton affair I am forced to wear over a brace. Although I am pretty sure that Josefina Álvarez of Pipa didn’t have this particular idea in mind…
