Sometimes it does feel a bit jumble sale-ish, but if you manage to be up early enough, you can manage to pick up some interesting bargains!. EVERYTHING IS OVER BY 2pm, and it’s just amazing for people watching and wacko ideas!

My two favourites are the ones in Santa Cruz (the island capital) and Guaza (near Las Galletas in the south).

I really loved the use of the recycled 5 litre water bottles by an ingenious stall holder. By cutting the bottles in half she was able to keep her goods dust free, put them into lots and carry them about! I’m not sure about the men’s shoes though…? I was horrifically drawn to the striped plastic white filigree…as they were so totally de trop!
