I will say it once, twice and three times, Pietrasanta has the lot – midnight shopping, beautiful people, restaurants, art galleries, music and heaps of Botero. I JUST LOVE IT!

BOTERO, like Michelangelo before him lived and worked his sculptures here in summers and the evidence is everywhere. Mr. P and I spent some time admiring two of his controversial frescos in the very old church of Chiesa delle Misericordia. Check out Mother Teresa on the bottom left hand corner!

Happily I stumbled on LEI, a new shop on VIA GARIBALDI 22. Its fabulous vintage cloths have been beautifully upcycled to almost couture standard pieces…wondrous! My eyes popped at the glamorous upcycled PARKAS.

As if this wasn’t enough, Carla Castellana’s shop is stocked full of vintage art and design, jewellery and BAGS. Also, there’s Zoe whose got triptychs and clothes for men, women and children – fabulously displayed with continental colour!

Mr. P did save the day though by taking me to dinner at the beautiful Enotecca Marcucci. A glass of their famous house champagne just put eveything to right!
