Rain. It’s not totally unbelievable from this sunny picture, taken from the best ‘room with a view’ hotel, but it’s true.
I Due Roccoli is a pretty special hotel, although it is a little difficult manoeuvring The BEAST with panniers on its gravel driveway!
The hotel is just above the town and the lake of Iseo and we were witness to the most dramatic combinations of storm, lightening, and sunsets from the safe haven of our balcony!
Iseo town itself is pretty unique in shunning big high street branded shops and going for a more boutique shopping experience. In fact, it’s the prefect place to shop in a storm with its porticos and colonnades…

Buizza has been in the family since 1913 and Mr. P managed to get into a couple of Bondesque La Perla swimmers!
I have noticed recently that shopping in Italy has become an impossible task without a gelato stop and this fantastic one with exotic ice lollies on Via Campo is the best!
As for Lake Iseo being the pee pot of Brescia…it’s a local joke! Perhaps it has something to do with the clouds…?

Regen. Es ist zwar nicht völlig unglaublich von diesem sonnigen Foto, das von dem Zimmer mit der ‘besten Aussicht’ gemacht wurde, aber es ist wahr.
I Due Roccoli ist ein ziemlich besonderes Hotel, obwohl es schon ein bisschen schwierig ist, The BEAST mit Doppelpacktasche über den Kiesweg zu bewegen!
Das Hotel liegt knapp über der Stadt und dem Iseo See, und wir sahen die dramatischsten Gewitter, Blitzschläge, und Sonnenuntergänge von der Sicherheit unseres Balkons!
Die Stadt von Iseo ist ziemlich besonders, weil es grosse Ketten Labels vermeidet und stattdessen ein Boutique Einkaufserlebnis bevorzugt. Mit Porticos und Colonnadas ist es tatsächlich das perfekte Shopping Erlebnis während einem Gewitter.

Buizza ist seit 1913 in der Familie und Mr.P hat es geschafft ein paar Bond-ähnliche La Perla Badehosen zu passen! Ich merke neulich, dass es fast unmöglich ist in Italien einkaufen zu gehen, ohne Gelato anzuhalten – und dieser fantastischer Laden mit exotischem Wassereis, auf der Via Campo, ist der Beste!
Und das der Iseo See der Nachttopf von Brescia ist….ist ein einheimischer Witz! Vielleicht hat es etwas mit den Wolken zu tun…?
