I have been obsessed by jewellery as of late – but this little Terra Plana shoe find has got my feet dancing!

I know they aren’t the latest model, but I think these shoes can now be truly termed classic, as Terra Plana is sadly no longer. Having been tipped off by two friends in the know, I traipsed off to Albrook Mall, Panama City – yet another one of the so-called BIGGEST shopping malls in the world. UGHHH!

Although it seemed like a mission, I found these for $29.00 at Dorians, a department store that sells brands for less! Eek! Not quite my beloved TK Maxx! I mean how did these shoes find themselves there? Maybe Silver Jack? The plot thickens…

…and in case you’re wondering, I have no idea who Silver Jack is! He appears to be a Ken and Marlborough man hybrid on the Dorians website!

A whole LOADA talent at the Crimsonette SHOOT Summer 2012

An early 8.00 morning coffee, post-yoga session with Sundip at Supergourmet with just my sunglasses to hide the mess didn’t seem such a bad idea, but noooooo……..I forgot good coffee and fashion go hand-in-hand as we stumbled into the set up for the Crimsonette Summer Sun 2012 fashion shoot. Trying to camouflage myself onto the ‘calicanto wall,’ I WAS SPOTTED!
Claudia aka Crimsonettesans makeup but looking fab, came across wanting to show me her current collaboration with Ximena. To my horror I slowly recognised the whole team Axel (my hairdresser from Hander) and Doria (the beautician) even the gorgeous model was someone I knew! Thankfully I forgot my plight as I rummaged through the pieces that the Crimsonette Summer 2012 collection offers. BUT, as I bade my farewells with the promise of an in-depth interview later on in the week from Claudia…I vowed that I would forever follow faithfully that Coco Chanel quote:

“I don’t understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little – if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that’s the day she has a date with destiny. And it’s best to be as pretty as possible for destiny.”

Her bracelets drive me mad. The colour combinations are so moorish! This beautiful Venezuelan woman first fell in love with fashion whilst in hospital. A self-confessed workaholic, her needlework blouses became such a ward favourite that she couldn’t keep up with the demand. When she recovered, she decided to do a fashion course in Panama and this is where I met her.
Concentrating on jewellery, which she hand makes herself with support from her own workshop back home, she is not satisfied with her growing popularity in Central and South America (Beco.com.ve). Her dream to sell in Europe and visit the birth place and stomping ground of her favourite artist, Dalí might come sooner then she thinks – this is one determined and talented lady.
Indira works with gold vermeil, semi-precious stones, ribbons, string and Swarovski elements.

Alexandra Correais an accessories designer who loves utilising natural elements in her pieces like seeds, beads, feathers and recycled elements. Her pieces are quite grandiose which brings to mind her architectural background. I really love her chokers best of all, they definitely make a statement. Her collection is exclusive to Espacio Vintage in Casco Viejo, Panama and prices are a bit of a bargain at the mom! Alex also happens to be mummy to ‘Bubbles’, a lovely vintage VW that I am really starting to love! Ooops, sorry, BEAST!
