Hawker food and 1894 Victorian architecture in the heart of Singapore’s business district

Lau Pa Sat

“You can’t really say you’ve been to Singapore unless you’ve been to LAU PAU SAT,” the brochure and one of my gilfriends said!  So nearing midnight we sat at a table with a jug full of Tiger beer and a mouthfull of fire. The concept of MILD on the food front here is certainly not the same as in Europe. From satay to southern Indian vegetarian to Japanese ramen to fried seafood, the hawkers (street vendors) entice you to try and buy in the most glorious of settings, with a pretty good rendition of Jessie J from a live band  to boot!

The first designed and developed Armani Hotel in the world – Dubai

Burj Khalifa the tallest building more than 160 floors

9 floors of the Burj Khalifa house the Armani Hotel it has own private entrance VOILA

Although we didnt stay here, as 24 hours of full on Armani might be TOO MUCH – the hotel has no mirrors or paintings – an aperativo at Armanis Atmosphere Lounge  at sundown on the 123rd floor is a must!   After all, it just happens to be the first hotel designed and developed by Armani (Milan opens sometime this year!). Also, the hotel designed by Skidmore Owings and Merrill takes up 9 floors at the Burj Khalifa that presently is the tallest, freestanding building in the world.  Champagne is not the only thing that goes pop. Try your ears going up the elevator on this baby! Yes, its the tallest service elevator on the globe!
